Compare our core LED strip technologies and find the right option for your setup.
Our lighting specialists can help you select the right strip, controller, and power supply.
SPI LED strips are digitally addressable, allowing individual LEDs or groups of LEDs to display different colors and dynamic effects. PWM LED strips control the entire strip or each color channel together, making them suitable for uniform lighting and standard color-changing applications.
SMD LED strips use individual LED chips mounted on the circuit board, so visible light points may appear. FCOB LED strips contain a high density of LED chips covered with a continuous phosphor layer, providing smoother, more uniform light with fewer visible hotspots.
Choose a controller that matches your LED strip type, input voltage, color configuration, and control protocol. For SPI strips, confirm that the controller supports the strip’s IC model. For PWM strips, make sure the controller supports the required channels, such as RGB, RGBW, or RGBCCT, and can handle the strip’s total current.
Multiply the LED strip’s power consumption per meter by the total strip length. We recommend choosing a power supply with at least 20% more capacity than the calculated total power.
Example:
15W/m × 5m = 75W
Recommended power supply: at least 90W
Always make sure the power supply voltage matches the LED strip voltage.
Yes. LED strips can be cut only at the marked cutting points. The sections can be reconnected using compatible connectors or by soldering wires to the copper pads. Make sure the polarity and signal direction are correct. For waterproof strips, reseal the cut area after reconnection.
