I have purchased a SK6812 RGBW LED strip, SP108E controller and power supply. I plan to install the LED strip in channels that will go under two “floating shelves”. The shelves are in a corner and shaped like the letter “L” with one side being about 7 feet and then 4 feet. I plan to install a 3 ft channel in the long section and a 2 ft channel in the shorter shelf.
My question is how to properly connect the wires. Do I have to run the power in series (run one set of wires from the end of the first LED to the start of the second LED) or can I run two sets of wire to power to the ends of each channel? There will be a total of 4 channels (2 for each shelf). I can provide a drawing if it helps to understand what I plan to do.

This is new to me. I want to put these under cabinet. I would like to get the sk6812, 60 leds, cool white, rgbw. No wi fi control. I would like to know what I would need to power and control these. Also how much the cost for everything would be. I live in Michigan. Thank you for any help that you can give me.
